Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for a number of years. Her family was home-schooled by her mother and her father, in USA. Raised with racial insults, she was being made to feel unwelcome. It was in her ninth year that she started to feel more confident following her acclaim in an audition. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed her goals in life. She graduated at the age of 22 with an education from the Julliard School in New York. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The part of The Lady of The Lake is her greatest break, earning an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC her role was given greater appreciation. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced a single as well as an extensive work. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
